Chat on WhatsAppI have to admit, upon signing up for this trek, I didn't have many expectations - other than that day two was going to be very, very painful. But from the moment we got picked up from our hostel and our guide, Paul, cracked his first joke, I knew I was in for a good time.
Paul had an answer for every single question, whether it was about the trail or the history or simply to offer a hilarious joke. He really took care of us and provided us with the utmost preparation for our long days. His job required a lot of patience, which he had plenty of. Kudos to Señor Paul.
Let me get started on the food: The chef was absolutely amazing. Every meal began with soup, and the entrees... I miss them already. It was the most gourmet meals I have eaten in all my travels. The food alone is reason to hike the Inca Trail .
The crew was great, always lending a helping hand and offering encouragement. And, boy, were they ever impressive with their speed and efficiency!
Overall, I had a wonderful experience and would recommend this tour company to anyone interested in some great hiking and stunning scenery. Ask for Paul, he won't disappoint!
