La Muerta

Coming into the trek having never hiked before, you could say that I bit off a little more than I could chew. The first day was one of the easiest, and yet I found quite a bit of difficulty doing it. From then onward though I was able to accommodate my needs appropriately, and the guides were very pleasant in assisting. Am I glad I took the trek? Of course. Between almost falling off cliffs while riding horses, getting lost in the dark of a rainforest miles away from camp, or getting smuggled through the cover of darkness in a crammed van, it was the experience of a lifetime and even though my feet are bleeding as I type this I would not have changed anything given the chance.
