Machu Picchu has been on my girlfriend's bucket list for since we moved to London 2 years ago. So once our visa finished in London we started looking into companies. This was one of our first companies that came across our radar. After reading lonely planet about how the porters are often mistreated, it was important to us to find a company that was environmentally friendly and respectful of the history that the Inca Trail represents for the Inca people.
This company exceeded our expectations and both our guides Raul and Marco were professional, informative, friendly, respectful, understanding and funny. Which is a difficult mix to achieve. The chef / porters were so approachable and often gave us a smile as they ran past us with our giant sized bags of luggage on their backs which I found impossible, given how much I was struggling.
I would definitely recommend Inca Trail Reservations to anyone who was interested in learning the history behind the Inca people and how they lived. I plan to come back in my elder years and I'm sure this company will be around to share the experience with me and my girlfriend again.
