Chat on WhatsAppWe, my wife and I, traveled the Inca Trail route in July 2014. We used Inca Trail Reservations for the four day, three night trip and the chief guide for the event was Manuel Jesus Paco Paco. We were collected on time and taken for breakfast prior to arriving at the start point of the trek. The first day was pretty easy and a nice way to start. Manuel advised of the route, start times, durations, basically provided all the info required for the following day. This was to be repeated each night and was faultless. The attention to detail was first class, the guides were superb, especially Manuel and Bernardo, and all days passed without incident.
I have to say the second day was grueling, the third day much more picturesque, but still a long day. The final day, when we reached Machu Picchu, was beautiful and a pretty short trek, mostly in darkness. Manuel providing the commentary within the ruins and he proved to be exceptionally knowledgeable. We didn't climb Huayna Picchu as didn't manage to get tickets but we're pretty satisfied with our 11 days all in all of trekking in Peru. Many thanks to all the guys for looking after us so well.
