my Name is Michele and we start the tour on 20 May 2012 and we booked the tour via internet . The Salkantay Trek was amazing . It is very hard and we did with Macchu picchu around 100km . I will not forget this tour , it was really a big adventure . The guide was very professional and explain all things very good . The food during the Tour was very good , I had very good cooks and somebody who help us during the tour and the horseman whose horses carried the biggest part of our luggage during the tour. On 20 May we were picked up in Cusco at 5.15 h in the morning. We drove with the micro Bus to MollePata where we started the trek .
On the first day we hiked 18 km and we sleep on the valley under two glaciers . The night was very cold , the second day was really hard and cold , we hiked over 4600 meter high pass . The third Day was easier , we did only 16 km and recovered our power in the hot springs. After a party during the night we had the last very hard day . the whole fifth day we stay at Macchu Picchu, which was absolutely amazing.
