Chat on WhatsAppI had a great time on the trek. I loved Henry's passion and the way he brought the inca's history to life with his knowledge. The food was great and the porters were amazing and very friendly.
The downsides were that we were originally told we didn't need to pay for a porter to carry our sleeping mats and sleeping bags but it turned out we did have to. I also felt really uncomfortable with the way the tipping was done and I know it spoilt the last night for several people. Because we didn't think we had to pay for a porter, we could only give the remaining 150pesos we had left as a tip which was under the average amount. Some people in our group made us and others who gave less than us feel very uncomfortable and I think this process would be best done anonymously. Another small issue was the lack of space when we were eating.
However overall I will definitely be recommending this company to my friends and I would like to thanks Inca Trail Reservations for an unforgettable experience.
