Challenging at worst, but magical and enchanting at it's best. This would best describe my 4 day - 3 night Inca Trail experience. The hike itself did not hinder the determination and sheer thrill that the tour guides (and fellow hikers) brought to the whole experience.
Food was sumptuous and well prepared, staff attentive and accommodating, campsites mediocre, however the best part is the mere fact that novice people like me would not be intimidated only to be supported to keep going and bring out the best in me.
The stunning view of Machu Picchu is beyond words which rewards you at your final hiking day. It does not only remind you of simplicity and nostalgia of an ancient civilization, but also the precision, wisdom and astrological/natural advancements of early life.
Overall, I would highly recommend taking this adventure for personal development and new friends.
