Nearly Died

Coming into the trail I underestimated Salkantay and overestimated my abilities. I came here looking for a challenge and an unforgettable experience.

Salkantay delivered both of these. Although the first day I felt like I was nearly dying, the group and especially the tour guide never gave up on me. The Salkantay was definitely challenging but also doable. It was a once in a lifetime experience and very memorable. Once I completed the trek I really felt like I had accomplished something.

Our tour guide Paul was great, his sense of humor, easy going personality and caring nature really made a difference.
