Just finished a 3 night 4 day trek with Inca Trail Reservations and loved every bit of it. It is certainly tough and should not be taken on lightly but unlike a lot of treks the history along keeps you impelled and intrigued. You have to be very careful on the trek in rainy season as the path becomes very dangerous and you must pay a lot of attention as you walk.
Our guide was brilliant with very good English and the food was the best I have had in Peru so far. Unfortunately it was a little cloudy but we still had amazing views and when we landed in Machu Picchu we had a beautiful clear morning which made it all worth while.
Excellent trail which brings you on an interactive journey through one of the most fascinating and impressive ancient cultures of the world.
