Our trip on the Inca Trail was a check off the ¨bucket list.¨ Inca Trail Reservations made our booking easy, and provided regular updates (as needed) during our planning stages. They were also helpful in suggesting other, additional trips that we might enjoy. We used this service to book our tickets to Huayna Picchu.
We were picked up from the Cusco airport and driven by Inca Trail Reservations to our hotel in Cusco. We were also provided a orientation the night before our trek began at the Cusco office to go over final details, meet our guide and other trekkers, and ask final questions. While we had over-prepared, some members of our group had not purchased all the needed supplies. Since this orientation was late in the evening the night before the trek, they did not have time to purchase additional supplies. We were also told that Inca Trail Reservations would store our additional luggage, but it turned out that we needed to bring that luggage to the orientation - we did not, and therefore had to find additional storage at the last minute.
Ramiero served as our main guide, and Hilton was his assistant. They were both wonderful, knowledgeable guides who gave us support and help when needed. Ramiero would stop us along the trek and give us histories of each ruin, as well as interesting plants that grew in the mountains. He was very honest with us about the difficulty of each portion of the trail, and gave us very accurate expectations of how long each section would take.
Overall, our experience with Inca Trail Reservations was wonderful. They were professional, well-equipped, and knowledgeable. We would highly suggest them as your guide along the Inca Trail.
