Chat on WhatsAppThe strength of the porters shocked me at first on the first day of the trail. I was amazed to see these strong men running down the beautiful paths of the mountains. Thank goodness the weather was perfect for four days or I would have felt even worse for them. We found out along the way that many of the gentlemen really enjoy their jobs.
It is interesting to me that while I am quite active, I would have to work much harder to be able to conquer those mountains almost everyday. Besides the job ( that I hope is not unappreciated ) our chef was amazing. Every meal and tea time was made in a tent at high restaurant quality. While the trail was absolutely breathtaking, what was second in keeping my interest was the hard work of the Inca descendants.
