The evening before the trip started, the guide came to our hostel for a briefing, which was very helpful, as we had the important information.
The 1st day was a training day with a first hiking to Umantay Lake, which was amazing with the Umantay in the background.
The 2nd day was the hardest one with hiking to the Salkantay Pass and walking all down to the next camp. But the nature and the view of the Salkantay was more than worth it.
The 3rd day we spent in the rainforest where we've seen a lot of different fruits and flowers, we've never seen before.
The 4th day (today) was more relaxing which is good because we need the power for the 5th day where we will visit Machu Picchu.
I would recommend the Salkantay trip to everyone, especially to those who want a good mixture between culture, adventure and nature! And the sleeping in the tents was okay above all because you got waken up with a cup of coca tea :-) So a big "Thank you" to our guide Carlos and all other people who helped making this trip "uhlalah" :-D
