Amazing trip. The description of the days of hiking provided by the company was very good.
Day one was a chance to brush off the cobwebs and shake out our legs. Day two was incredibly hard and highly rewarding. Astonishing scenery, glaciers, steep cliffs, tough paths and a very windy pass. Day three was gentler, and rewarded with hot springs. Day four quite easy, and one of our family went zip-lining and had a blast. Day five will be Machu Picchu.
Extremely good guides! Both Carlos and Martin worked tirelessly to keep us happy and motivated and safe. Very minor complaint about the thickness of the sleeping pads. Excellent food and plenty of it. The campsite at Santa Teresa is very loud... Bring ear plugs but a must do trip.
