After a nice briefing on Sunday to prepare for the trip I was picked up Monday morning very early to start the trek. After driving for I while we met our horseman to pack the horses. The first day was a nice walk to the first campsite and in the afternoon we had time to visit a nice blue lagoon, a lot of groups didn't have time to visit the lagoon. After a cold night we woke up to see the peaks of the mountains be covered in fresh snow.

We started the heaviest day of walking, climbing to the highest point. The climb was absolutely worth it, we had some breathtaking views. After the climb the rest of the day was all down, what might even be heavier then climbing for me. The second campsite was a very nice place, in a small community. The third day we walked to the jungle and after the lunch I went to the train station to be transferred to Aguas Calientes. It was nice to have a warm shower and the day after I went to the beautiful Machu Picchu. I had a great trek, with surprisingly good food and a good guide.
