Salkantay trek

We did the Salkantay trek to the Machu Picchu. It was an unforgettable experience. First, we had very good and experienced guides. They knew their country, the history and the Inca culture very well.

The trek itself was challenging. We started hiking at over 3,500 m and got to the highest point at 4,600 m. The altitude makes the hike more difficult, but the scenery is truly amazing. We saw it all, from the very high snowy mountains to the jungle with its exotic plants.

Finally, the Quechua staff working on our hike were truly impressive and friendly, including 3 porters and 2 cooks. Thank you for a great trip.
