Tales of an Unfit Aussie

As someone who's never hiked before in my life, I was pretty nervous as the Inka Trail hike grew closer.

I was supposed to do the hike with my mum, but she was unable to come along at the last minute, so I was left alone. When I met my group for the first time on the bus I already knew it would be the experience of a lifetime. All likeminded people with a great sense of humour, I was embraced from the beginning and made some terrific friends.

The guides were so supportive, paying attention to my capabilities and making sure I always felt comfortable and safe. While it was still challenging, the people and the beautiful backdrop make this an unforgettable experience.
