Our adventure began with a hair raising presentation by our guide Paul, warning us of the hazards that awaited us on our death March to Maccu Piccu.
we were pleasantly surprised that the first day was a mild stroll at relatively low altitude. it is quite pleasant to have tents set up and waiting when we pulled into camp. Simon brought us hot water every afternoon when we finished up.
My wife Sue and I paced ourselves over Dead Woman Pass and found it quite do able. after the pass, we flew to Maccu Piccu, enjoying fine dining and concierge service all the way.
It turns out that Paul is quiteknowledable in many fields and he kept us entertained and informed with story telling of the first order, and as far as I could tell, most of it was true. He was also aster psychologist motivAting us to get to the end.
