He group of hikers was fantastic, the guide incredibly knowledgeable, and the porters simply amazing in both their physical abilities and service & helpfulness. The first day was a light warmup to the grind to come. We spent the night in a great campsite after an amazing dinner (and equally amazing breakfasts and lunches - nearly five courses each), and continued on to the hardest day of the trek.
The Dead Woman's pass was challenging, but rewarding in its views. The third and fourth days took us through incredible Inka remains and even better views. Machu Picchu itself cannot be described in words, but must be experienced.
