Chat on WhatsAppFor as long as I can remember, I have dreamed of experiencing the Inca Trail , and my adventure definitely met my expectations. The days were long and tiring, but walking along the sacred trail as the clouds clung to the mountains was worth every second.
Reaching the end of the trail and the long awaited Machu Picchu itself was amazing; the mystical kingdom just didn't seem real. I really enjoyed listening to all that our guide Carlos had to tell us, helping me gain an understanding of the empire and the intellect and spiritual ways of its people.
Having said that, reaching the summit on the second day felt incredible and highly moving after such a climb. I had a fantastic trip made by the informative and engaging guides who spoke brilliant English and were easily understood and always happy to help, answer questions etc.
Additionally I would like to say a special thank you to the numerous porters, whose hard work enabled me to have such an experience that I will never forget.
