Chat on WhatsAppI wan to say how delighted i am with the trek to Machu Picchu I have just finished with Inca Trail Reservations. My son and I did the 4 day 3 night trek in mid july and it was exactly as I wanted it to be starting with the guide Raul coming to visit us at our hotel to discuss the arrangements and what we needed to bring with us.
He was really friendly ,spoke good English and i felt far more relaxed and able to sleep the night before the trek. In total we were with a group of traveller and had 6 porter plus a cook allocated to us as well as Raul our guide. The porters were incredible, friendly and respectful and they carried 7 kgr. for each if us so that we could enjoy the walking and the view. I was really worried about the food on the trek because i have coeliac disease which means i get very ill if i eat any gluten- even from touching other food.
The cook adjusted food for me at every meal without making me feel different and providing tasty Peruvian food and I didn't get ill at all which was absolutely fantastic and such a relief ! Raul our guide was brilliant sharing his vast knowledge of Inca and Peruvian history with a lovely sense of humour. He us as we had different levels of walking but we all felt encouranged and looked out for.
He was really good at creating a group atmosphere. Trekking to Machu Picchu was an amazing experience and I can recommend to anyone that Inca Trail Reservations are a fab company to do it with.
