Chat on WhatsAppthe tour was excellent. our guide Emilio was fantastic in explaining all the information fluently to us and also he was great at getting us up and on the trail in great time so as we could have some relaxing time in the sunshine when we arrived at our camp. the food that was provided to us was beyond expectation. we never went hungry while on the trek. and the flavour was superb. also, the cook made a birthday cake for one girl on our group which was fantastic.
the porters that were in our group were amazing. they had our camp set up before we arrived every day and were very friendly and helpful. i enjoyed all the ruins on the trail more than Machu picchu itself. i think it was because there were so many people already in Machu picchu before we arrived because they got the buses there. all the arrangements before were to my expectations apart from the fact that when we hired a sleeping bag, we did not realise that we would have to carry it and the mattress ourselves. this was not such a big deal but if we were informed we could have prepared a bit more for this. me and my girlfriend thought that we would need alot of snacks for the trek but because the food was so filling we didnt need that much. we were provided with cookies and fruit every morning. i would strongly recommend bringing suncream and INSECT REPELLENT.
there werent many mossies but plenty of biting bugs!!!i would fully recommend this company in future. thanks Inca Trail Reservations .
