Tough, great, and there was cake!

We went on the 5d4n Salkantay trek. From the start of the trip, communication was great and any questions we had were answered quickly. We met our guide, Ever, the day before the trek at our orientation. He made sure we knew all the important information and general itinerary. Throughout the trip, Ever was absolutely amazing, patient and supportive. He was so knowledgeable about everything and was just an awesome person. During our trek we had a horseman, Damien! He set up everything, tore down the campsites and carried all our stuff from site to site. I could barely get myself to each site. He was such a blessing to have. Our cook, Raul, cooked us every meal everyday. He baked a cake in a pot! The food was so delicious and to be able cook in any condition with minimal resources like he did and to have it taste so good absolutely baffles my brain. Overall, this trip was amazing. Everyone was super nice, friendly, and funny to make the trip a memorable one. Ever is the best guide ever!
