Between the amazing scenery, fascinating archaelogical sites and physical challenges this was one of the most rewarding trips I´ve taken. Our guide, Juan, did a great job introducing us to historical and spiritual aspects of Inca culture and sites and also was very encouraging for those of us having a tough time with strenuous hiking at altitude. People who are used to camping in the wilderness on their own will find the combination of porters and a professional chef very luxurious. This hike is no joke so take acclimatisation seriously! Highly recommended. Lastly, watch out for day 2, it´s a tough one!
