I wanted to feel challenged and this trek gave me that level of difficulty but I could always see the end in sight. It was a thrill to see the snow, then the amazing craggy rocks and then jungle - it's been stunning!
Day one was a nice acclimatization with a tougher walk to the beautiful lake in the afternoon. This is well worth the effort as it's got amazing colors and is right underneath the glacier.
The second day was harder but it was worth it as we summited the highest point on the trek. Our guide really helped us to get through the difficult bits and was keen to tell us all about the Incas.
Days three and four were totally different again as we walked through the jungle, picking fruit, spotting birds, walking over old bridges and passing waterfalls along the way.
There is so much to see and experience on the trek, it's been brilliant, thanks Grober! Bring a rain poncho !!
