This was truly one of the best experiences of my trip to South America and one of the toughest! We had three amazing days of hiking on the inca trail, fantastic food (above my expectations, those chefs do an incredible job) and comfortable sleeping quarters in our cosy tents. Our guides were absolutely fantastic (Gerson & Martin) and I couldn't give them more praise. They were very knowledgeable, fun and most important patient with us slower hikers. This all was to topped off with an amazing view of Machu Picchu on the final day and the sun was actually out. Such an amazing accomplishment by everyone in the group
Being in February the weather was always going to play a factor in the trek, 2 of the 4 days had rain. Which why I only gave 4.5 out of 5. Though completely out of control of Inca Trail Reservations and no reflection on them at all, maybe if had the choice again I would chose the drier months to do the trek with these guys.
Such a great experience and many thanks to Inca Trail Reservations for making it happen!
