The trek to Machu Picchu was an incredible adventure, my guide Manuel was extremely helpful the whole trip. Be aware that this trek is at very high elevation and you should have an idea about how well you deal with low oxygen levels. As a fit person I had altitude sickness and wasn't the only one in my small group.
This was one of the most tiring but one of the most rewarding trips I've been on. You learn a lot about Inca culture as well as get some incredible Inca food cooked on the side of the trail. Prepare yourself for the trip, but it is an incredible adventure.
