On day one we were picked up at our hotel in Cusco on time. The ride to the beginning of the trail was quick and full of awesome city and countryside views. The first day of hiking was relatively easy and it was a joy to meet all of our fellow hikers. Day two, although challenging and difficult, was a great experience as we made it to the trail's high point. Day three was complete with panoramic views of the Andes mountains.
Finally, on day four we reached Machu Picchu and it was everything that you could have expected. The ruins were breath taking. All in all it was a once in a lifetime experience and I would highly recommend it to my fellow travelers.
