Wow, what an experience ! Lots of trekking, steep steps, tonnes of yummy food, cold nights and always “And one more, guys” snippet of info on Inca culture from our excellent guide, Americo.
Machu Picchu was incredible but only so much because I’d earned it after 4 days of hard yet immensely enjoyable trekking. Muchas gracias to our porters and chef for always having a camp to relax in as soon as we finished our days hike.
The sites along the way were great, Dead Woman’s Pass was a challenge and the whole trip I would recommend to anyone, Inca Trail is doable, even if you’re not in the best of shape, just mind over matter !
