I can not say enough good things about Inca Trail Reservations and their staff! We loved working with Mariella Chavez to book and our guides Coronel Huaman Raul, Brian and Bernardo. Evey-one was kind, knowledgeable and professional. The chefs cooked the best foods, and the porters did a great job setting up tents and carrying our stuff safely. We would definitely book with them again.
The guides taught us so much about the culture, animals and foods of Peru. We loved each day waking up to our porters bringing us bed tea. The Coca tea was so yummy, warm and helped with the altitude. We miss our Peruvian family and hope to go back again to see Lake Titicaca on another trip.
One tip, try to hike Huanya Picchu a different day, then when you first arrive at Machu Picchu. It's a lot. Very exhausting! Our guide Mariella did a wonderful job in suggesting us to take a day in Aguas Calientes and we were so glad she did.
Everything was clear, well organized and a good price. Please remember to bring extra cash to tip the porters, guides and chefs. It's not included in the price, and you want to make sure you support the local people who make your trip memorable.
