Freezing and sweaty in one day.

Our group of three started the trek full of energy. Everything was well arranged before hand while still in our home country, and as well on our first day. The breakfast at Mollepata was terrible. The first hike until the camp is easy going and shows nice fauna.

The hike to the lake is very tough. It is super super cold during the first night, happy with my alpaca sweater from Cusco. The next day we cross the Salkantay pass, with bad weather we could not see the Salkantay :-( The end of the trail to the camp is endless. Day 3 and 4 are relatively easy, but the feet get tired.. Overall the staff, Marco and Beltran, are great!! . Good cooking and Marco is very knowledgeable on all and a great leader of the pack.

We wished the trek was more adventurous, there are many other hikers and there are actual camps while we expected to be putting up tents ourselves in nature. Definitely recommend this trek, but would still like to do the Inca Trail one day !.
