Chat on WhatsAppThis was my first time in South America and my first time traveling by myself. I booked my Inca Trail Trek, along with hotels in Cusco and Lima and flights between Lima and Cusco with Inca Trail Reservations .
The booking process was very easy and nice to do everything with one company. Was much less work for me. The hike itself was an amazing experience. It was four days, of hiking with the most amazing views I have ever seen in my life. At the pre-hike briefing they did a good job answering questions and giving us a break down of what to expect. As they told us the second day was by far the toughest.
It was hard work reaching the highest point on the trail (4200 meters) but very rewarding. The porters did an excellent job of setting every thing up and taking it down so that when we arrived to camp at the end of the day our tents were all made, and we didn´t have to take them down. I would definitely recommend hiring a personal porter.
Also, the guides did a good job explaining things along the trail and making sure everyone had an enjoyable experience. Lastly, the group I was with was awesome. I was by myself and everyone else was with at least one other person. Our entire hiking group was friendly, I didn´t once feel left out or lonely.
This is a great way to have fun, meet new people, and make lifelong memories.
