The load they carry makes them superhuman, & the quality of food was delicious and nutritious. We had a great group and Good fun, good pace and a great time had by all.
Day 1 was a good introduction, preparing you for the most difficult endeavor which is day 2. The altitude made it difficult to breathe, but Ed & Sergio made sure we walked at a safe tempo.
Reaching the Sun Gate, getting a hug from Sergio saying "you made it! Enjoy Machu Picchu", was a fantastic feeling. There was a euphoric feeling seeing Macchu Picchu for the first time after the challenge of the trek. We were always kept informed about the next stage of the journey, regarding timeline, and difficulty.
This was a no nonsense trip, porters catered for our needs and the 2 guides made us feel welcome and brought the group together as a family.
Fantastic trip. Certainly one of the bucket list.
