Beautiful trek with great food. Day two very challenging. Carlos did a wonderful job as guide. My 11 year old did well and enjoyed everything. They accommodated the vegetarian diet with no difficulty. We went the first week in April and had rain. The trek was still enjoyable and everything was very green with wild flowers.
The Santa Teresa hot springs were wonderful after the challenge of day two. Overall, the service was excellent and definitely worth the price. I would plan three or four days at altitude before starting the trek if not already accustomed. I am glad I went in April because we avoided crowding.
