My guides Poncho and Ronald were very helpful and encouraging the whole time, especially since I started out the first day recovering from food poisoning. They had a great sense of humor and were very knowledgeable. The size of the group was perfect – 16 people. We were all able to get to know each other well and have a good time together eating, hiking, and talking.
At all the archeological sites, including Machu Picchu on the last day, Poncho was a great tour guide, providing honest and interesting historical information. In addition to all that was included in the tour package, Poncho provided extra helpful information about places to explore in Machu Picchu and Aguas Calientes. In Aguas Calientes, he even provided free pisco sours to the whole group at lunch time.
The porters were indispensible to our group, carrying all the food, supplies, and tents for us. They had a great spirit and even helped to carry extra bags when some of the group was too tired to carry on.
I would definitely recommend Inca Trail Reservations to anyone considering hiking the Inca Trail. The value for the price was fantastic and the experience unforgettable.
