The trek was tougher than I expected BUT I would say that it was a great experience! Why was it great? Because "Inca Trail Reservations" made it a great experience for all of us. Raul and Carlos, our tour guides, our very knowledgeable, very friendly, and just make you feel safe. The tour guides don't rush you to keep up with the more fit people. There's always one of the tour guides who will stay behind to make sure the less fit/slower people has someone with them. The porters are great too! I don't know how they do it. They carry a very heavy load and they just zoom up the mountain. The food too was great! I didn't expect that type of food in a camp site. We do "happy hour" (no alcohol) first. Then we have the dinner. We start with a hot soup, coffee/coca tea, hot coco, and water. Then the main course arrives. There's a good variety of food :)
So if you're thinking of doing a 4 day Inca trek to Machu Pichu, I highly recommend booking it with "Ince Trail Reservations"!
Once again, I'd like to thank Raul, Carlos, the porters, and the chef! You made this experience possible and wonderful!
