We booked our Inca Trail in May this year. 5 months before the actual event. Throughout those 5 months we were able to contact the Inca Trail Reservations team with all our questions and they were answered in a fast manner. We were welcomed by Dolores in Cuzco which showed us our room above the Inca Trail Reservations Office in Cuzco. They were clean and confortable.
The night before our trail, we meet our guide Ronal which explained to us how we were going to reach the diffenrent check point on the Inca Trail and were we would stay. We went throught the essential and what we needed to bring on the trail. the following morning, Ronal pick us up from our room and we drove to a bus were another group was waiting for us in a bus. Because it was only my husband and I, we had to be paired with another group. they were all very nice. we then drove to the started point.
The views we had for the following 3 days were amazing the food that was cooked for us was great and filling. all the staff were really nice on the trail and we all encourage each other as we had to climb the Dead Woman pass. It was one of the most difficult journey I have ever taken but I am now glad I did. it was a great self discovering journey. Upon arriving in Machu Picchu, We were meet by An expert in Machu Picchu and she did our guided tour. She was very knowledgable and was full of information.
All in all we had a great experience and this is one that I will never forget.
