My wife Vesna and I have learned about the Inca Trail trough the Inca Trail Reservations over the internet, specifically through the Trip Advisor review of the people who had the same booking in the past. We had read about the Inca culture prior to the trip, and about Peru history to prepare ourselves for the trip. Your website was very helpful in the preparation and Fanny Diaz in particular was very quick and thorough in responding to all of our questions, including email messages as what to bring and how to prepare for the trek.

When we got in Cusco to have a preparation meeting on the evening before the trek, the staff in the Cusco office was very helpful. That is when we met with Carlos, our guide at the trail, the King of the mountains, how he represented himself. It was adding to fun atmosphere of the Inca Trail trek from the very first moment. From there on, everything - the pickup at our hotel, transportation, administration/registration, and start of the trek were all well organized. Everyone of six of us in the group had challenging times at the trail. Every time, Carlos was always there to support and encourage those having problems with "soroche", heat, tough sections, anything ...

The food was simply fantastic. Munaycha, the cook, was just amazing. The porters on the trail were nice: quiet, accommodating and supportive, all coordinated by Carlos. There are two more things that I want to accredit Carlos for:

1. Carlos pride of his origin, of Incas culture and history of Peruvian pride.

2. Carlos knowledge of the vegetation, of flowers, and of Inca Trail orchids in particular.

All in all, this was a nice experience, that I would recommend to anyone planning to do the Inca Trail.
