Chat on WhatsAppThis trip is one of those things that we both had always wanted to accomplish when the time arose. We were somewhat concerned due to our 72 years, we found it strenuous, but satisfying upon completion. It was actually not as difficult as we had expected.
We had a wonderful time with a great group of people from all over the world.
There developed a real bond between all the hikers and staff, helping and encouraging each other to press on. The highlight was being able to see the ruins of Machu Picchu from the Sun Gate in the early morning sun.
The guides, porters, and cook were so very kind and helpful throughout the entire trip. They were there to explain the history of the Inca's and the way they lived in this mountainous region of Peru.
This is a great value for the money we paid for the trip, I have had friends who used travel tour operator that spent thousands.
Cuzco and Machu Picchu were the most enjoyable parts of the three weeks we spent in Peru!
