Inca trail Flash Back

Hi

I took Inca Trail during last week of March with Carlos.

I found the track great - the nature, the food, the insight into Inca culture passing several Inca ruins when sweating yourself - it was simply great. Bit of challenge of the body with passing so many steps up - especially during the second day, and down - mostly on the third day. But that track just very well tests how you can challenge your body. And even I was not 100% fit I managed pretty well and was great to see so many people around to be challenged and motivated the same way and be awarded with such stunning view when crossing the Sun Gate and finally reaching the Machu Picchu!

What can I say, sometimes it could feel bit uncomfortable when sleeping in a tent feeling bit chilly or waking up pretty early, but after that all you will tell yourself - YOU MADE IT and managed again to put yourself further to the edge... And now I know this is definitely an unforgettable experience!!

One recommendation to the organization - last day when waking up to head on Machu Picchu it is not very clever to wake everybody at 3 - 3:30 when the gate opens at 5:30 am. I understand that the porters need to catch the early train back but since the tourists pay a lot of money for the trail I believe some reorganization of train schedule for porters should be done, as to make everybody happy!

Thanks for the great experience

Kristy!
