First off, Manuel was the greatest guide, calling us "campeones" the whole way. We appreciated his guidance. This trek was one of the hardest walks I have done and I feel accomplished making it to the peak and down again.
Day one was a good warm up. Day two was difficult as we climbed most the day. Day three was at most all downhill which was very hard as well. Day four was awesome to see Machu Picchu although we woke up very early. The food was also excellent. Thank you Alejandro for making such great food.
This was definitely a trip of a lifetime and the whole experience was great. The only recommendation is to let us know that we would be carrying our sleeping bags and mattresses that added extra weight that we did not anticipate.
