The Inca Trail was challenging and rewarding from a landscape perspective - however (maybe also due to the bad weather - lots of rain unfortunately) not the most beautiful trek I have ever done.
But both the group as well as the experience provided by Inca Trail Reservations totally made up for this! The service was impeccable, clean tents, always a drink or a tea at the ready. The porters were amazingly friendly and kind and I was so happy they were there. The food was completely awesome for being cooked up on the road - specifically the vegetarian options were delicious, and I never ate so much food in 3 days.
Greetings to Modesto the cook! I also liked the goodbye / tipping ceremony, even though a bit artificial it was not " weird" because the porters were so nice! Good instructions were given before by our guide Mani - which leaves the last point: the super awesome guides Manuel and Edison, very friendly, helpful, and knowledgable at all times.
