Wow what an adventure, met some amazing people, our group became such a team, helping each other out. The walk was tough but manageable, not sure if I'd have managed it without a porter though as day 2 was a climb. Woken up with a cocaine tea lol, the food was amazing better than a restaurant at home. Amazing views of the Andes, and eventually Machu Picchu.
The tour was well organised, tents were comfortable with thick padded mats to lay on, tucked up in bed by 8 - 9 which ensured you were ready for the 5 o'clock start. Happy hour at 5. I did this tour with my daughter who was travelling around South America. I'm no spring chick but do keep fit so age is not an issue. I would thoroughly recommend doing this.
