Carlos our guide, was great. He has extensive knowledge of all of the ruins we visited, the ancient Inca people, and present day Peru. The trek itself was challenging but so rewarding to summit Dead Woman's Pass on the second day and to reach some of the other Inca ruins that you would otherwise never be able to encounter and the terrain is absolutely gorgeous. We were also very impressed with the food all along the trail... It was delicious !
All in all it was an amazing trek and the only way in which you should arrive to Machu Picchu. I am also very thankful to all of the porters who helped make this possible; they are extremely hard workers and I would not have been able to complete the Inca Trail without their assistance.
