MACHU PICCHU

I purchased this trip as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend after a strong recommendation from my daughter who trekked with this company about 4 years ago. Our guide, Carlos (King of the Mountain), made our group feel and act like a family. He made us all feel safe and cared about any concerns we had. He was also very knowledgeable about the trail, plants and history of the area. We did have a scare with a falling rock, but survived and now have a great story. I heard a noise, thinking it was some sort of animal, but instead there was a huge rock that fell not far from us. It was crashing through the forest and stopped when it tore a huge tree from the ground which stopped it. I feel so lucky to be here. It was before seeing Machu Picchu, so it would have been especially tragic. Overall I would recommend this tour to anyone looking for a great adventure. The food and accommodations were great. We even had a party-bonfire one night that was lots of fun. Thank you all for all the hard work and the great trek.
