Inca Trail Reservations did a great job preparing us for this trip. Their packing list was very accurate considering the variable weather conditions and it would allow for light enough packing to trek with your own bag. However, as Inca Trail would recommend, it makes the trip way more enjoyable if you hire a porter to carry your gear for you.

The tour guides, porters, and cooks are amazing. It is a difficult journey but one that they help make as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. I can't stress enough how incredible this journey was, and will remember it for the rest of my life, not in small part, thanks to Inca Trail Reservations .
