Salkantay trek to Machu Picchu August 10, 2011

The trek was amazing. A great combination of landscapes from ice capped mountains, a mountain pass at 4600m, hot springs and glacial lakes to the hot and humid jungle. The guide was very friendly and super helpful. The cooks made good food and an abundance of it, they were even happy to make us eggs at midnight after a few too many piscos! Machu Picchu was as awesome as you would expect and a spectacular end to an incredible experience.
