We had a very good experience with this tour company. There was a transporation strike on the first day, thus keeping us from starting on the trek at first. The company improvised and took us on a very scenic and beautiful tour of the country side. The trek commenced as scheduled on the next day with no problems after that.
The food was very very good! The presentation was excellent, equivalent to a 5 star restaurant on the trail! The chef even dressed in a professional chef outfit and was very professional.
The guide was excellent and the assistant cook helped out greatly on the trail. The guide was very helpful and always willing to help out no matter how slow the group was going.
The horsemen were very helpful and always had everything set up on time and there was no problem from them. They were very professional and hard working.
The trek itself was very scenic. The recommended two day stay in Cusco before the trek was necessary for dealing with the altitude. Even the best of shape people had issues with altitude sickness in some form or another, so a good recommendation would be to take extra time to acclimatize to the altitude, drink cocoa tea, and keep hydrated.
Overall, a very good experience and we would recommend to future trekkers to this region!
