Salkantay trek to Machu Picchu November 08, 2011

An amazing experience.

Salkantay is physically demanding, but exceptionally rewarding.

Our guide Elmer was very fantastic and porters were hardworking, friendly and supportive. There was plenty of good nourishing food and campsites were comfortable and well organized. It was raining just a bit. The trek, physically more difficult than I expected.

Do your research and come prepared for all types of weather and a great time. Machupicchu is really fascinating; I recommend Salkantay.Org to all my friends.
