This was my first overnight hiking experience, every minute of it was worth the pain that came along. Our guide gorge was awesome. On day 2, hiking up to 4215 meters, fighting altitude sickness, trying to go uphill, Gorge really supported us. I could not have asked for a better guide. Day 3 was so beautiful. Walking up and down, watching all the Inca remains made me feel so alive. We walked up the hill, down the hill, in the rain, under the sun, in the mud, crawled to go up at the end when I saw Machu Picchu from the sun gate I felt every bit of it was so worth it. I will do it all over again to get the same experience.
