Boy ole boy!! Words cannot begin to express the awe inspiring journey that my group has just completed. Breath taking mountain views, lush vegetation, five star gourmet camp food, and an experience that will last a life time. This will be one of those trips that you will be bragging about to your children one day.

The following will be a brief description on what you can expect: The trip starts off very nice with a briefing of the whole journey. Everything is explained and planned to perfection. Day one is a very good litmus test to see if you are up to the challenge. Please don't rob yourself of the the experience by pulling out too early due to fatigue. Everyone is exhausted; but you can run your own pace. Your guide is you best friend and motivator; as was my guide Victor. They of all people will be very intuitive to your well being.

Day two and three will be the most difficult of your journey, but some of the most rewarding. Be prepared to experience one of the most amazing hiking terrains and experience archeological sites that most will never see unless they pay their dues and take the four day trek.

The last day is a very early day but worth it. Hopefully you are lucky enough to have amazing weather as you arrive to the sun gate, and then go down to the actual site Machu Picchu. Here you will be able to experience first hand the architectural feats that the Inka people were able accomplish. Pictures and words can never provide you the raw feeling that you will obtain. Good luck on you trek!

A couple of tips- porters are absolutely necessary, these guys work so hard, please respect them and use their services. They go above and beyond in order for you to have a wonderful experience.

Bring bug spray! The bugs that get you the most are the tiny little suckers you can't see.

Lastly be able to shed layers and add layers.

Much thanks to our guide Victor! You are the best my friend! I am happy to make a new buddy!
